Bye Bye
I’m laying in bed in the hotel room I share with my sister as I write this. It’s been 4 days since the program ended, but I’m still in Taipei since my family joined me to see the city for a couple of days. Honestly, writing about the last half of my last week is difficult. Partly because there’s so many amazing moments I could dive into and write about. And partly because I’m relying on photos and my memory, and both aren’t getting me too far. Regardless, I want to tell you about one of my favorite memories: the tea house. When it comes to coffee or tea, I see it as a utility rather than a ritual. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve risked being late to class back in Seattle just so I could down a cup of matcha or coffee in my kitchen because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be able to be conscious for our 3 hour long studio.
